Two-ish Ingredient Bagels

These two ingredient bagels have been all the rage in recent years – they are made with limited ingredients and taste great!

Growing up in New Jersey we had bagels for breakfast every Saturday AND Sunday morning so I am a bit picky 😉 These are definitely not the same, but still pretty good and can be made with various ingredients. After they were done cooking, we sliced them in half and put them and back in the air fryer for another two minutes to toast them up! ~ Regina

Start by mixing 1 cup of Greek yogurt and 1 cup of self-rising flour in a mixing bowl until it forms into dough. Take out of bowl and place onto a sheet of parchment paper. Knead for a few minutes, adding flour as needed – the dough will be very sticky.

Form the dough into a ball and cut into 2 halves. For smaller bagels, cut the 2 halves again to form 4 pieces of dough. Form each piece of dough into a bagel-shape with a hole in the middle.

Crack an egg in a small bowl and scramble; using a pastry brush, lightly brush the egg onto the top of each bagel. If you prefer a plain bagel, then they’re ready to pop in the air fryer or if you’re like us, top with a seasoning of your choice. We love Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel Seasoning. Other seasoning ideas: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, coarse salt, garlic, cinnamon sugar…the options are endless!

Place bagels in a single layer in the air fryer basket and fry for 7 minutes 357 degrees. Take the basket out and flip the bagels then bake for another 2 minutes.

Tip: For a toasted bagel, after baking, cut the bagel in half and put back in the air fryer for 2 more minutes.
