It’s been a long time since I’ve cooked chicken in my oven. Whether thighs or chicken breasts, they just come out so much better in the air fryer, and in less time! I have a few go-to recipes that are in the regular dinner rotation at my house. We are a honey mustard loving family.
For this recipe, store bought honey mustard certainly works, but I have really taken to making my own with just two ingredients- obviously honey and mustard (dijon, specifically 😉 Equal parts with a dash of ground white pepper.
For the chicken, I coated each tender in the honey mustard and coated in a mixture of Panko and Italian breadcrumbs. That’s it! Too easy. Full recipe and instructions below 😊
Honey Mustard Chicken Tenders
Equipment
- Air fryer
Materials
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup dijon mustard
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1-2 lbs. chicken tenders
- dash of pepper
Instructions
- To make the honey mustard: mix the equals parts honey and mustard, add a dash of pepper.
- Evenly coat the chicken in the honey mustard and coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place in the air fryer and cook for 18 minutes on 375F, flipping halfway through.
